Jacana is a non-profit organization based in Petauke and Chipata Zambia. It trains small-scale entrepreneurs so that they can escape from poverty by carefully delivering them the right kind of support. This helps to create employment and set as an example to others who are less fortunate.

For more than a year now, Zambia’s electrical power capacity is insufficient. Every day Each Zambian experiences power cuts for several hours called “load-shedding”.

Jacana will be facilitating a solar design and installation training for people from Petauke with an electrical background who wish to learn more about solar system design and installation.

Candidates must be able to:

  • have a proven electrical background,
  • live in Petauke,
  • use MS-Excel on a computer,
  • have grade 9/12 certificate,
  • read and write English,
  • use a smart phone,
  • and have experience in finding their own market.

Registration ends on 2nd June, 2025.

You can also physically visit Jacana’s office in Petauke behind Ukwimi Trade school.
