Move to Chipata

As mentioned in earlier newsletter, Jacana will start a SMART training center for entrepreneurs in the water sector. The results of our household survey in Northern, Western, Central, Southern and Eastern province show that Eastern province is the most suitable for our SMART training centre Jacana has now its new headquarters in moth extension Chipata Eastern province of Zambia, as of 1st July, 2016.

Courtesy Call

Jacana has already paid courtesy call to all respective offices within the province it has been such a nice time meeting the authorities including the paramount chief of the Ngoni people. our program has been well received here.

Our new offices

This is our new office and a plot where we can demonstrate our water project. Our physical and postal address is: 4284 Kombe Road Moth Extension PO Box 510293 Chipata, Zambia.the office has an entrepreneur resource centre with internet access and a small library, it also has a workshop for pump production training.

Entrepreneurs

New Entrepreneurs from within Chipata of different business and locations have already been selected, the first training commenced on 3rd August, 2016 and this time jacana has decided to train three classes per quarter.

Chipata

Initially the word “Chipata” means in between hills, it is a mountainous town with friendly indigenous people it borders with Malawi on the eastern side, which makes the town economically stable. Variety of activities goes around in this town and there are all sorts of entrepreneurs:
